WWOOFing

For us, WWOOFing is the best part of farming! WWOOFing brings a great atmosphere to our home and we could not get all the work done without so much generous help. We have genuinely been privileged to share our table with so many incredible people. We are grateful for the opportunity to make some very special friends.

In the summer months, we usually have quite the team. Despite the hard work, we have lots of fun. WWOOFers have helped us feed the animals, pile hay, sort cattle, weed and harvest the garden, clean barns and silos, install fences, make signs, build all sorts of things, and much more. There is more to farming than weeding!

We are committed to share our lives with WWOOFers and we are looking for WWOOFers who want to become part of our family. Farm life is never easy. Even if nothing goes wrong, farm work is hard and we never seem to get everything done.

We had WWOOFers that came for only seven days and they happened to be seven days of solid hay weather and equipment breakdowns. After that, we took a couple of days off, but they went on to WWOOF on another farm. We sure felt bad. If you come for fourteen days or more, you are virtually guaranteed to experience all aspects of the farm.

Contrary to popular opinion, life on the farm does not slow down much in the winter. If anything, the cold and the snow make things harder. It is extremely important to bring warm winter clothing if you come in the winter. For all the other seasons, bring rubber boots if at all possible. Wet feet are not very comfortable. We may be able to lend you a pair of boots, but we may not have your size. Do not bring your best clothing either.
We are quite relaxed about everything else, but we do require that you have medical insurance.

To reach us from Montreal, you can take the Limocar bus or catch a ride with amigo-express to Sherbrooke and we will pick you up there. The bus takes 2 hours and we are about 30 minutes from the busstation.
We occasionally have interns and volunteers that are not WWOOFers. Please contact us to discuss.
